Join your fellow DMAA Members for a day in Lansing!
Become an active participant in the future long term success of your Industry! On Wednesday, February 6th, 2008, Members of the DMAA will attend the Property Management Association of Michigan's Capital Day in Lansing. This annual event provides YOU a terrific way to take an active role in the legislation that governs your properties and communities.
The event will take place from 8:00am to 4:00pm, and begins at the offices of Kelley-Cawthorne Government Relations Counselors, 101 South Washington Square, 9th Floor, Lansing MI 48933, where we'll have a short briefing session. Then it's over the Capital Building where each local Apartment Association Chapter in Michigan has made appointments to meet with Senate and House Representatives from their districts. Our intent is to form new legislative relationships and, confirm and maintain existing relationships. Discussion issues will be Apartment and Property Management Industry related matters.
We have an enormous need for VOLUNTEERS to participate in this years' event. The Detroit Region has the largest number of Michigan House and Senate Representatives in the State, and we would like to visit each and every one them on behalf of all DMAA Members. This will only be possible with sufficient numbers of volunteers to attend small group meetings with these Legislators, and we need YOU!
Lunch will be provided by PMAM, and there will be a reception from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Troppo, 101 South Washington Square, Lansing MI 48933.
